The launch of the 3rd BR report signals the start of a year-long process of enhanced agricultural policy advocacy, dialogue, and engagement at the national, regional, and continental levels. The report, titled“Accelerating CAADP Implementation for a Resilient African Food System,” aims to support evidence-based reflection and adaptive implementation of the 2014 Malabo Declaration. The 3rd CAADP Biennial Review: From Data to Policy ImplementationĪs part of Agrilinks’ Policy Month, the African Union, USAID, Feed the Future Policy LINK, and AKADEMIYA2063 are jointly convening a multi-stakeholder webinar to explore the impact of the Comprehensive Africa Agricultural Development Programme’s Biennial Review (BR) as well as to unpack some of the early policy implications emerging from the 3rd BR report.Launched last month, the report included self-reported data from 51 of the African Union’s 55 Member States and captures progress across 49 indicators tracking performance on agricultural transformation. It's like a teenager texted a book and I hated it.28 April 202. Somehow I didn't connect with the 'smoking hot' rich kids who ALSO have magical powers. Honestly, the premise of the story might be kind of cool if the writing wasn't riddled with horrifying spelling and grammatical errors (Kindle edition), attempts at superficial progressive underpinnings that actually read as sexist, elitist, and ignorant, and main characters that are shallow, privileged, and without any apparent flaws in appearance, intellect, or defects in socioeconomic status. Thank you to the author and editor for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

We also get alternating viewpoints between Ivy, Owen, and Ryker which really sets readers up for a great continuing story! I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series and highly recommend this book! When she leaves home to attend MBIHS she really begins to understand what it means to be a legacy, and the reader gets the pleasure of discovering right along with her. Ivy is a great debut character because she wasn’t raised in the Mythos community. Plus, I am a huge fan of ancient Camelot so that was a bonus. I loved the idea of ‘legacies’ as the descendants of famous legends.
Lightsmith truly has a gift for storytelling! I thoroughly enjoyed this short story! When I finished reading I thought there was no way it was only 184 pages because there was so much story packed into this first novella. Ivy, Owen, and Ryker are grouped together as they learn what it takes, not only to become Field Agents (which is their ultimate goal), but to live out the expectations of their famous forbearers. This first novella centers around students at the Mythos Bureau of Investigation Prep-Academy (MBIHS), specifically Ivy La Fray, the granddaughter of Morgana La Fray, and her Arthurian counterparts Owen Emrys, descendant of Merlin, and Ryker Pendragon, descendant of Arthur. Ivy, Owen, and Ryker are grouped together as Legacies is a fantastic debut novella by Bebe Lightsmith where we are introduced to the Mythos community the descendants of all the greatest mythical and folklore characters.
